ハクチョウ類保全国際学術交流会(中国・栄成市)

中国野生動物保護協会および威海市が主催する「ハクチョウ類保全国際学術交流会(International Academic Conference on the Swan Conservation)」が,2019年11月22日から23日にかけて山東半島の先端に位置する栄成市において開催されました.


会議ではロシア,日本,モンゴルからの報告に続き,中国各地のハクチョウ類の鳥インフルエンザのサーベイランス,渡り,生息地利用などに関する報告があり,最後に「栄成宣言」が採択されました.


エクスカーションでは市内のハクチョウ渡来地と保護区を回りました.ちょうど2-3千羽のオオハクチョウが飛来しており,多くの人が見学に訪れており,観光地としての賑わいをみせていました.「オオハクチョウ科学センター」では,ハクチョウに乗って孵化してから栄成市に渡ってくるまでを疑似体験できるVR展示が人気でした.また,保護区では給餌も行われていましたが,藻場の再生なども進めていて本来の生息地の保全にも力を入れていました.

We, representatives and scholars from China, Russia, Japan, Mongolia, Pakistan and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), East Asia-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP), International Wetland, on November 22th 2019, assembled in Rongcheng, the beautiful hometown of the Whooper Swan, to participate in the International Academic Workshop on Rongcheng Swans Protection" jointly organized by the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the Weihai Municipal People's Government. On strengthening the conservation of swans and their habitats, to promote and maintain regional and global biodiversity, a common recognition was formed:


Conscious that the Whooper Swans, the Tundra Swans and the Mute Swans are widely distributed migratory birds in the Eurasian continent, which are loved by people around the world and become the flagship species of nature conservation.

Recognized that the swans are the symbol of the natural and cultural heritage shared by Asian and European countries with a long history of evolution, and their international significance as a response to conservation targets of international conventions.

Recalling also Convention on Biological Diversity and the bilateral and multilateral agreement on the conservation of migratory birds and their Habitats between have effectively raised public awareness. with joint efforts of each country, great achievements have been made on the conservation of swans and other migratory birds.


To improve the conservation of swans and their habitats, Call in particular for actions to:

1. Carry out ecological and biological research on swans, strengthen ecological monitonng of swans populations, and get knowledge of the changes in swans populations and their habitats,

2.Promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and establish Swans international information network to enhance the conservation capabilities with full coverage of breeding grounds, stopovers and wintering grounds;

3.Support the implementation of a community-based conservation management model, raise public awareness on nature conservation and improve the harmonious development of swan conservation and human society,

4.Actively respond to the call of the "Ecological Civilizations - Building a Community of Earth Destiny initiated by the 15th Conference of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, and promote the realization of the UN Vision 2050 of harmony between man and nature;
